The fund carries out fundraising for the Echoencephalograph. It is necessary 195 000 hryvnias.

Why is it important to do echoencephalography? Today echoencephalography of the brain Echo-EG is the safest non-surgical harmless method of diagnosing of brain diseases with the help of ultrasound.

Echoencephalography mostly is appointed by the doctor-neurologist in the case of suspicion of brain damage and also in emergency cases when brain damage may be life threatening. Echo –EG is so safe that is used for examination of children. The obtained diagnostic results make it possible to detect volume lesions of brain tissue:

  • foci of hemorrhage in intracranial hematomas;
  • tumours, goat formations, and foreign bodies;
  • purulent accumulations in brain abscess.

Besides, such an examination allows:

  • to measure intracranial pressure as accurately as possible;
  • to assess the degree of hydrocephalus (dropsy) of the brain.

Indications for the echoencephalography are

Direct indications for the echoencephalography Echo –EG ( are symptoms that persist for a long time:

  • attacks of nausea that do not depend on food intake;
  • frequent dizziness and tinnitus;
  • deterioration of concentration and memory, not associated with fatigue;
  • rapid fatigue;
  • fainting and incoordination;
  • frequent attacks of headache, insomnia;
  • neurotic reactions: enuresis, stuttering, etc.

Echo –EG is appointed in the case of suspicion of traumatic brain injury. In addition to it, echoencephalography is used for preliminary diagnosis before doing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computer tomography (KT) of the brain. If there are any contraindications to the last ones or the patient’s condition is too severe, Echo- EG can substitute them.

The method of echoencephalography has no contraindications. The only restriction for doing this examination is open head injuries in the areas of sensor installation.
